The general assembly of our foundation, which carries out studies for Turkey’s transformation into an information society to contribute to the creation of the necessary infrastructure, to carry out scientific research and development activities, and to examine the effects of new technologies on social and economic life, to produce and implement projects with qualified and respected stakeholders, was held on March 21. The term activities of the foundation, educational projects, award programs, report studies, projects and platforms carried out with EU Funds were evaluated in the committee.
Türkiye Bilişim Vakfı (TBV), merkezi İstanbul’da bulunan ve “Türkiye’yi bilgi toplumuna dönüştürme” temel amacı ile çalışan bir sivil toplum kuruluşudur.
14 Nisan 1995 tarihinde, 114 kurum ve bu kurumlara üye 178 kişi tarafından kurulan bugün itibarıyla 400’ün üzerinde üyesi bulunan vakfımızın hedefi; Türkiye’nin bilgi toplumuna dönüşebilmesi için gerekli altyapının oluşturulmasına katkıda bulunmak, bilimsel araştırma ve geliştirme etkinlikleri gerçekleştirmek ve özellikle yeni teknolojilerin sosyal ve ekonomik yaşam üzerine etkilerini inceleyip nitelikli & saygın paydaşlar ile birlikte projeler üretmek ve uygulamalarını sağlamaktır.
The Turkish Informatics Foundation (“TBV”) is a non-governmental organization with its headquarter located in Istanbul. Our aim is “to transform Turkey into an information society”. TBV was founded in April 1995 by 178 founding members from 114 different institutions and today the organization has more than 400 members. The main objective of our organization is to provide a necessary foundation in enabling the Turkish society to become an information society, and in doing so, to organize and develop scientific research and activities and specifically to research the effects of new technologies on the social and economical lifestyles of the society, to create and provide projects and policies and to provide reliable sources and qualified information.
